Tournaments

Informativ includes a full tournament management engine. Events can host multiple tournaments.

Creating a Tournament

Within an event, navigate to the Tournaments tab and click Create Tournament. You'll select the format:

• Knockout: Single elimination. Loses are out.
• Round Robin: Every participant plays every other participant. Standings are calculated.
• Group Stage: Participants are split into groups. Group winners advance to a knockout stage.
• Swiss: Competitive pairing without elimination. Participants are paired based on their current score.

Adding Participants

Add participants (individual players or teams) with a name and optional logo/photo. Seeds can be assigned for knockouts.

Generating Fixtures

Use the Generate Fixtures button. The system automatically creates rounds, matches, and pairings based on the selected format. For Swiss, use the Pair Round button for each round.

Managing Matches & Results

Update match scores in real-time:

• Enter the scores for both participants.
• The system calculates the winner and automatically advances them to the next round (for knockout).
• Standings for Round Robin and Group stages are recalculated instantly.

Tournaments have a lifecycle: DRAFT → ACTIVE → COMPLETED/CANCELLED. Live matches can auto-progress through kickoff, half-time, and full-time on their own — see the Tournament settings tab.
