Referrals — Earn by Inviting Others
Share your link, earn a reward every 3rd person you refer who reaches a full registration.
Referrals
Every account comes with its own referral link and short code — Dashboard → Referrals shows yours with a one-click copy button. Anyone who signs up through your link is credited to you as a referral.
What Counts as a Full Registration
A person you referred only counts once they complete all 6 of these — they don't have to happen in order:
- Registers — confirms their email (or signs in with Google).
- Sets a username — on their own Profile.
- Adds and confirms banking details — they submit banking details, and Root approves them. Submitting alone doesn't count.
- Enables a feature — the first time they turn on Event, Venue, Artist, Equipment, Vendor, Provider, or Transport Management from their own Profile.
- Adds their first item — their first event, venue, equipment listing, product, service, or artist profile — whichever feature they enabled.
- Shares their own link — once someone else visits the referral link they themselves now have, extending the chain. (Not required for a feature with no public page of its own, like Event or Venue.)
How You're Paid
You're paid a lump-sum reward every 3rd person you referred who reaches a full registration — not per milestone, and not for every single referral. Rewards are added straight to your account balance and paid out the same way as any other earning — see Dashboard → My Payouts.
Tracking Your Referrals
Dashboard → Referrals explains exactly how each milestone is checked, shows your progress toward your next payout, and lists everyone you've referred with all 6 milestones marked off as they're reached, plus your total earned and current available balance.
A Few Rules
- You can only be referred once — signing up is what attaches you to a referrer, and it can't be changed afterward.
- Visiting or copying your own link doesn't count as "sharing" it — only someone else visiting it does.
- The reward amount and batch size are set by the platform and may change.
