Artists & Collaborations

Informativ supports a comprehensive artist management system, including profiles, bookings, and revenue split-sheets.

Artist Profile

Enable the Artist Profile feature in your Feature Access settings. You can then:

  • Set your artist type (DJ, Singer, Band, etc.) and visibility (Public/Private).
  • Add a bio, media links (Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud), and a default artist agreement (WYSIWYG).
  • Define your base rate, deposit percentage, and VAT inclusivity.

Artist Booking Workflow

When an organizer wants to book an artist, the flow is:

  1. Request: Organizer creates a request with the proposed event, performance time, and fee.
  2. Quote/Response: Artist views the request and Responds with their terms (or Declines). A Booking Contract compiling these terms is generated automatically at this point.
  3. Sign the Contract: Both the organizer and the artist must electronically sign the contract from the booking page before it can move forward β€” each signature records the signer's name, timestamp, and IP address. Once both have signed, the contract is downloadable as a PDF.
  4. Accept/Reject: Once fully signed, the organizer either Accepts the artist's terms or Rejects them.
  5. Deposit: Upon acceptance, the organizer pays the deposit.
  6. Balance: The balance is due by the agreed deadline. If overdue, the booking can be cancelled.

Booking statuses are tracked precisely: REQUESTED β†’ QUOTED β†’ CONFIRMED β†’ COMPLETED (or DECLINED/REJECTED/CANCELLED). The contract has its own status alongside the booking: PENDING_SIGNATURES β†’ COMPLETED (or CANCELLED if the booking itself is cancelled or rejected).

Collaboration Split Sheets

For projects with multiple artists, use the Collaboration tool to manage revenue sharing:

  • Create a collaboration and add collaborators via email.
  • Assign split percentages (sum must equal 100).
  • Send the agreement for digital signatures. Each collaborator can Agree or Decline.
  • Once all parties agree, the collaboration is marked as Completed.
